I was planning on doing this for awhile (can I really say “awhile” when I’m talking about a fandom this young?). I love myself some rhyming, so I decided to attempt a semi-Seussian saga about The Young Once-ler.
So I wrote one. It’s obviously not as good as Dr. Seuss’ stuff, but there you go.
OH, and I attempted to emulate the style a bit, too. Mostly inspired by Adori (who I secretly stalk over at unlessler) who drew Once-ler in da Seussian style. Lots of Seuss being used as an adjective in this post.

Sorry, Once-ler, I made your dad an ass. But doesn’t that cigar make him look like a big man? Maybe cigars will make you look like a big man too. Think about it.
I love seeing these headcanons and concepts for Once-ler’s father. Very good; I may shed a tear.
